August 2024 - I had the tremendous honor of having a background acting role, as a homeless person, in the Independent horror/thriller film Killer Grannies. It was a long, grueling 12 hour day of filming in the blistering Florida heat, but we got the job done. Homeless people filled the Tampa streets & made the headlines. It was a blast! Prior to the filming, I had come up with the term Bum Scummin. I loved the term so much that it quickly grew into a song. Bum Scummin was officially released as a single on January 29, 2025. My friend Jeffrey Cook added keyboard/vocal tracks to the tune & did an excellent job! Helped bring the song to life & elevated the production to a whole new level of awesome. Jeff also had a background acting role as a homeless person in the film.

Killer Grannies will be released in April 2025.

Jeff & I in a celebratory pose on Jan 19, 2025, after spending the weekend at his studio recording his tracks for Bum Scummin.

And the musicians played! On February 15, 2025 I had a chance to play Bum Scummin with Chuck Morrongiello. It was a magical moment! Chuck & his wife Karolina (it was her BD) are the masterminds behind Killer Grannies, which inspired the song. Chuck is a formally trained musician who spent over a decade as the lead guitarist for Marty Balin (Jefferson Starship/Airplane) One of his primary influences is Django Reinhardt & he is actually known as Little Django

1) Bum Scummin

Bum Scummin was officially released as a single on January 29, 2025. This is the first song towards my upcoming Awesome Sauce album. It's a very unique & catchy song! Kind of a happy-go-lucky approach with some dangerous corners & an ominous bridge section. Just click on the image below to check out the tune at my ReverbNation page. The song is also available as a FREE DOWNLOAD.

ASIDE: While I was driving around in my car & listening to various final mixes for Bum Scummin, I came across a homeless person at an intersection. I rolled down my window & gave him a few dollars & talked to him for a bit. As it ends up, the guy was also named Brian & he was from my hometown of Ottawa, Illinois. I actually remember his name from when I was younger. WOW! Talk about a sign. I gave him another $20 & wished him well. Needless to say, the version of the song that was playing during that moment became the master track. It was meant to be ....

February 22, 2025 - Bum Scummin is now available globally at all major streaming/download platforms. I have included some links below. Please add it to your playlists & share it with others.

2) Bad Feeling

February 8, 2025 - Next song up is a kick ass upbeat Rocker called Bad Feeling. I am super excited about this song. I already have the drums & bass tracks completed (scratch vocals & scratch guitar tracks were also done previously). Now it is time to crank up my brand new PRS with a nice crunchy Metal effect & lay down the rhythm guitar track. I have already experimented with this pairing & it is absolutely perfect! A palm muting, barre chord chopping, extravaganza. The song is in the key of D.

My brand new Paul Reed Smith SE Custom 24-8 Quilt version guitar in Lake Blue! My Christmas gift. It is amazing!

February 24, 2025 - I now have 4 tracks completed (guitar, bass, keys & percussion). Had a blast with the guitar track! It ROCKS! The keys are also amazing! Thanks Jeffrey Cook for gifting me your Yamaha PSR-E463. Ended up using a simple Grand Piano effect. It worked perfectly for setting the mood & adding some much needed high end depth to the song.

February 27, 2025 - Something fun that is outside of the music. I ended up being interviewed on ABC Action News talking about the Tampa Bay Rays & the high ticket prices at Steinbrenner Field (the Yankees training facility & our temporary home.) I am the founder of The Tampa Bay Rays Fan Club at Facebook with over 25,000 members. Robert is one of the other administrators there. Our home stadium, Tropicana Field, had its roof torn off during the devastating hurricanes last year. We will find a way to overcome the adversity, we always do .... Go RAYS!!

Watch it here ---> Foxman on ABC Action News

March 13, 2025 - Some more awesome news. I am going to be a Production Assistant with 3 Rats Entertainment (Chuck & Karolina Morrongiello) for their upcoming Blockbuster mafia film Extortion Thugs. We had our first meeting today & everything went perfectly! Filming for the show will take place at various locations throughout Long Island in Nov/Dec.

May 11, 2025 - I went above & beyond & accomplished everything that was asked of me in regards to my work with 3 Rats Entertainment. It was a very fun & unique experience, but I had to move on ..... I have a new album that needs my full attention!

Agent Fox! I love this look. Captures my Irish side & looks very professional.

April 6, 2025 - I finished the lead guitar track!! Been kicking things around for a few weeks & it finally all came together. It's an interesting track. Didn't want to use distortion because I already have a kick ass rhythm guitar track with a Metal effect (would have muddied things up). Ended up going with a Mtown LoDown effect & a Rockabilly approach with a bunch of string bends. It actually works perfectly with the keyboards. I may end up panning them to different sides when I do the final mix. The music for Bad Feeling is officially finished!! Just need to find the time & a place to lay down the lead vocals.

(4-14-25) An EPIC accomplishment! I created these Music Video Cover Photos for all 16 songs on my Hit List album. It took me over 4 years to accomplish my goal of having an adequate music video for all 16 songs, but I did it! Click on the image above & it will take you to my You Tube page where you can watch all the video's. They are all well worth our time to check out & are very entertaining! I don't like to perform live, it's not in my Foxman nature, so the videos are my platform to be seen by everyone. They are the perfect blend of music, art & theatre.

(5-4-25) My More Than Meets the Eye promo flyer! There is a lot happening in this image. Zoom in & take a look around. It pretty much sums up my entire career as an artist/songwriter. My artwork & music go hand in hand.

3) Open Road

April 17, 2025 - This song is starting to come together. I have a cool, loose structure worked out. Lyrics are about 2/3 finished (still need a 3rd & 4th verse). Not sure if I want to add a bridge section? The song is in the key of C.
May 7, 2025 - Awesomeness!! The lyrics are completed & I have a unique structure for the song worked out. Been working my butt off trying to put together a percussion track. The lyrics for this song are excellent. Perfect introspective mood & an epic chorus section!

May 17, 2025 I am back on track (pun intended). Got the percussion track finished & recorded today. I worked very hard on that track! It was a grind right up until the very end. The intro/verse sections & the chorus/change sections actually have slightly different tempos. Also got my Taylor acoustic cleaned up, re-strung & ready to ROCK! Super excited to start pulling this tune together.

June 5, 2025 - Spent the last 3 days getting the bass track worked out & recorded. It is an absolute beast! May be one of my best bass tracks ever! I also have the acoustic guitar track recorded.

June 12, 2025 - The keyboard track is finished! Only took a few days to work it out & pull it together. It compliments the song perfectly. Drums, keys, bass & acoustic guitar is all this song needs. The music for Open Road is officially finished!! Just need to find the time & a place to lay down the lead vocals.

      * ASIDE: Today was the 10th anniversary of my father's passing. He died from dementia & was a very dedicated lifelong alcoholic. It destroyed everything in his life, literally everything. This song is about moving on from addictions, putting the past in the past where it belongs. I have had my struggles too. I have been working very hard on my sobriety over the last 3 months. Very proud of myself for making the hard changes. The song ended up being about me. Was very fitting that today was the day that I completed the music for this song. It will probably end up being track #1 on the new album.

(May 7, 2025) A cool, Western & worn snake oil promo image that I created for Awesome Sauce.

4) Headin' Out

June 15, 2025 - What's on the menu? How about some fun, old school, 1950's, vintage retro nostalgia. Headin Out is inspired by Buddy Holly & others. This is going to be a very fun project! I do have Fender Deluxe, Twin, Bassman & Magnatone amp effects to work with (some favorites of the day). I also have some old school mic simulations to use for vocals (Shure 55SH, AKG D12, etc). Definitely going to have to up my snare game. Some of the aforementioned amps & mics are included in the image above. I currently have the verse/chorus section chords worked out. Lyrics are maybe 2/3 finished. The song will be in the key of E.

*** I ended up archiving my Tampa Bay Rays Fan Club at Facebook on the 4th of July. I founded the group around 13 years ago & it had reached nearly 26,000 members. Amongst other things, I was having trouble with some of the other administrators/moderators that led to unnecessary stress. I just wasn't having fun anymore. The group was also very time consuming. Basically we were all working for free. I love our team, but it was cutting into the time I needed to work on things that really matter to me, like my music/artwork & spending time with my family. I am going to be an Uncle for the first time in August! It was a hard decision, but it was the right decision. I am trying to eradicate clutter & simplify my life. Technically, I made a stand on the 4th of July & declared my Independence.

July 27, 2025 - I did it!! Finally got the song structure worked out & the drum track completed. It's gonna to be a very fun, upbeat tune. Very excited about getting it recorded & then moving on to the guitar & bass tracks.

*** The drum track is recorded. It turned out perfectly. Was well worth all the time & patience.

July 30, 2025 - Our little miracle arrived today. One of he happiest days in my entire life. This is Aidan Redmond Fox (20" tall, 7.1 lbs). He is the son of my youngest brother Shawn & his wife Ashley. I am well into my 50's, the oldest of 4 boys & Aidan is our first true blood descendent. Miracles do happen!! Aidan will be a fountain of youth for our family. I will wear my new title Uncle Brian with tremendous pride 🦊

Aidan Redmond Fox (b. July 30, 2025)

August 5, 2025 - I got the bass track & a scratch vocal recorded for Headin' Out. I used a Tube Amp effect on the bass. It was a bit of a challenge to control, especially for the parts that required some finesse, but I got it done. It is a very fun & melodic walking bass line. Nice big sound ....

August 9, 2025 - I got the electric guitar track completed!! My PRS is amazing!! I did manage to capture a cool vintage 1950's sound. I also recorded an acoustic guitar track. It will add some extra depth & help accent parts of the song, especially the 2nd half of the verses, which is technically the chorus section. I am contemplating adding some keys/piano to the song & I definitely need to come up with a lead guitar track. We have family visiting next week, so I will have to put this project aside for a bit. A nice opportunity to relax, have fun & rest my ears.

The Million Dollar Riff! - It is a bold term indeed, but a very fitting one. Been kicking around ideas for the lead guitar track & I found the perfect solo riff for the beginning & middle sections of the songs between the verses. That simple rhythm solo that helps sell the song & is unforgettable. Will also be able to work off of it in the solo section & outro. Riffs like this aren't a dime a dozen, they are one in a million!

August 20, 2025 - Had a blast hanging out with family over the last 10 days! Mom loved her BD get-together & our new addition Aidan is doing very well. I got back to work today & touched up the acoustic guitar track. It is now officially finished. All that is left is the lead guitar. I have my million dollar riff already worked out, so things should come together fairly quickly.

August 26, 2025 - Welp, I had to pull a quick U-turn & double back. The primary rhythm guitar track just wasn't sitting well with me. It's awesome, but the tone was a bit too abrasive with the other instruments. Song needs to have a nice smooth blend. I have been experimenting with using my Spark Amp & lining out directly into my recorder, instead of using the onboard effects. I found an awesome effect that is going to work much better!! I am old-school & my recorder is a bit of a relic, so it makes sense to use the more modern effects. This is also a good example of patience as a virtue. I am in no rush, this isn't a race. Take the time to get it right & be 100% happy.

*** (8-28-25) I finished the new rhythm guitar track & it sounds perfect!! I also re-did the acoustic guitar & it is freaking epic! Now I can relax for a bit focus all my attention on the lead guitar & that million dollar riff I mentioned earlier. This song is going to be a HIT!!!!

September 3, 2025 - I did it!!! All the music for Headin' Out is finished. Just need to find the time & a place to lay down the lead vocals. Took about 2 1/2 months to pull it all together, but it was well worth the time & effort. It's an awesome song!! Very catchy & fun

5) Son of a Gun

June 26, 2025 - I am jumping ahead a bit, but it is inevitable that this will be the next song that I work on after I finish Headin Out. It is a very cool old school Western themed tune. It is just a raw lyrical idea at this point (2 verses & a chorus), but I have a very good feeling about it.

*** I finished all the music for Heading' Out on September 3, 2025. It turned out to be a very intense project that occupied all of my time & energy. Took well over 2 months from start to finish! Now here I am staring at another open canvas with just a title & some loose lyrics. Welp, it's time to get to work ...

September 5, 2025 - The lyrics are starting to come together! It is an awesome storytelling song. I tend to think of Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins & others. I am pretty sure the song will be in the key of F Minor (capo 1). Now I just need to work out a cool format & song structure.

*** I completed the lyrics on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The key of F Minor is going to work perfectly. Gonna tune my guitars up 1/2 step instead of using the capo. I am already starting to pull the chord/song structure together. NFL starts tomorrow! It's gonna be an awesome season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Go BUCS!!

September 14, 2025 - Things are happening! I have the song structure & rhythm guitar worked out from start to finish. I should have the drum track recorded within a few more days. I did have to simplify some of the lyrics a bit so the song wouldn't be too long. It's gonna be a classic ....  Wild, wicked days in the heart of Texas.

September 22 - The song evolved again! Original versions were coming in over the 5 minute mark. That is way too long! I had to cut a few things out & simplify it all a few times. I did it! The percussion track is recorded! I used a Country kit with a little splash of swing & a tempo in the 89-92 range (verses are 89 & the choruses are 92). I needed a tad more giddy up in the Chorus sections. For those who are unaware, I do use a drum machine (Alesis SR18). I program every song measure by measure by hand tapping & piecing it all together. It is a very tedious process, but I love it! That's why I refer to myself as a percussionist. I don't want to offend the real drummers who are playing actual kits.

October 1, 2025 - I have the acoustic guitar & a very ominous electric guitar track recorded. I ran my PRS through my Spark 40 amp & used a Spooky Melody effect. The results are EPIC! I also recorded some scratch vocals. Next up is the bass track & maybe some background keyboard effects. I pretty much have the bass already worked out, so that will only take a day or too.

OK, things never go as planned & that is a good thing. I got the bass recorded, but in the process I realized that I need to redo the acoustic guitar in the chorus sections. The playing was perfect, but the tone is too high ended! Needs to be a bit smoother.

October 3, 2025 - Patience is a virtue. Both guitars, the bass & the percussion tracks are now completed. So glad I decided to double back & fine tune things a bit more. I still want to mess around with the keyboard a bit & see what happens. Also need to redo the scratch vocals. They were adequate for getting the music recorded, but I can do much better.

October 4, 2025 - Welp that's it!! All the music for this song is officially finished. Only took 1 month from conception to completion. The scratch vocals I did earlier today were EPIC! It's a very cool, ominous, Wild West song. I decided that it works just fine without adding keyboard effects. Don't want to clutter it up. I will come back at some point in time & do the final vocals & final song mix.

6) Rainy Day Serenade

October 5, 2025 - It's amazing how quickly things can happen. I just finished all the music for Son of a Gun yesterday. The next tune I was planning on working on is a dark, mischievous tune called Dirty Love. Then the u-turn happened. I came up with a very catchy love song idea called Rainy Day Serenade. I had stumbled on a catchy acoustic melody in my voice memos that I saved a while ago. It caught my ear right away & it grew from there. I started messing around with some chords & things started to come together very quickly. I ended up writing 2 verses & the chorus. Not very often that a catchy love song comes along, so I gotta ride the momentum wave & make it happen. This is going to be a very fun project. We have a wedding to attend in a couple weeks, so it is very timely.

Awesome comeback by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! We beat Seattle 38-35 on the road, with a last second FG. We are now 4-1 on the season. Go BUCS!!

October 12, 2025 - I just recorded a couple of cool background rain tracks & a simple click track for timing. The song is in the key of D. My 3rd song out of 6 that is in the key of D. I am going o finger pick the acoustic guitar. It sounds absolutely beautiful. The primary intro riff is amazing. I just have to spend some time practicing so I will be nice & comfortable with it. Acoustic guitar is a challenge to record, with all the little warbles, finger/fret noise, bumps, etc. The lyrics are also very melodic & heartfelt. There is a very strange chance that this song will just be the acoustic guitar, vocals & the background rain tracks for some theatre & mood.

October 21, 2025 - Gotta get back on track with this song! Attended a cousins wedding over the weekend in Sebring, FL. It was a very happy & fun day. Should do wonders for inspiration.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers got humiliated by the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. I think the final score was 24-9! We also lost Mike Evans for the season. Kinda sad because it ends his consecutive years with 1,000 yds record (tied with Jerry Rice with 11). Still a chance he can make it back for the playoffs. Bucs are now 5-2 (we beat SF last week).

October 22, 2025 - Big decisions & some solid progress. After a ton of experimenting with a bunch of different amps, tones & settings, I have decided that I am going to just let my Taylor acoustic sing! It's an amazing instrument. I am going to line in directly to my recorder & record it clean. I have also decided that I am going to play along with the rain tracks & not use the click track. Will sound more authentic & dynamic this way, like an natural real time serenade. Now that all the executive decisions are worked out, I gotta get the track recorded!! Should be done within a few days.

The 3 Amigos (PRS, Taylor & Ibanez)

October 27, 2025 - The acoustic guitar track is completed! I am also working on recording a bass track. The song just felt like it needed something extra. I have 2 tracks with rain & traffic. Been waiting patiently for a nice rainy day to get a live recording to use. Surprisingly, their haven't been many rainy days here in my area of Florida.

October 29, 2025 - I did it! All the music is officially completed for this song w/scratch vocals. I spent the whole day recording a keyboard track (violin effect) & all day yesterday recording the bass. My ears are exhausted!! Between these 2 tracks, I have all the depth & dynamics that I will need. I still want to take a shot at adding a real life rain track to the song. Just have wait for a rainy day to come along. As I have mentioned with my previous songs, I will be renting studio space at some point in time to do all the final vocals. It has only taken 25 days to get to this point. That's some solid progress,

*** Ended up doing a few more edits here & there. Simple little things to help tighten the song up a bit more. There are a lot of stop & go moments. I also added some reverb, compressor & very subtle EQ to the tracks. It sounds pretty dang good. Very unique song!

The Devil's Ballroom

Halloween 2025 - Here I go on another grand adventure! Had a blast working on Rainy Day Serenade, but I have been dying to unleash my inner beast & try my hand at something a bit more heavier. I love horror movies & freaky things. I also have my new PRS guitar sitting there & feeling neglected lately. I need to crank up the wattage & write a blistering Rocker. So far, all I have is a concept & some very raw lyrical ideas, but it will come together. I am in no hurry at all, only goal is to have it finished by the end of the year. Decadence, debauchery, cults, deadly sins, etc. Am I referencing politics & a certain ballroom that is being built during the longest ever government shutdown while so many people are hurting & suffering. Yes, I am guilty, that is part of the inspiration. Greed as the deadliest sin.

November 3, 2025 - Making a little bit of progress. I have 2 verses written & a catch line that will be part of the chorus. I think the song will be in the key of E Minor.

*** Things are evolving quickly!! I am starting to work out all the various sections on electric guitar. It's gonna ROCK!!! Some elements remind me of my Metallica & Megadeth days. Definitely going to be a heavier Hard Rock/Metal type tune. I am also going to do something a bit outside the box for me. The song will primarily be in E Minor, but will also alternate to A Minor & B Minor in various sections.

November 9, 2025 - The lyrics are finished and they are EPIC!!! Very picturesque & dark.

November 11, 2025 - My Alesis SR18 drum machine! I just bought this beast a couple years ago. Did a ton of research & it was highly recommended as one of the best for the buck. It is has totally lived up to the hype! This is the first album I have ever used it on. I used preset kits on the previous 6 tunes, but I have decided to branch out & create my own custom drum kit for this song. It's going to be amazing!

So dark & savage!! The daily specials at The Devil's Ballroom are the 7 deadly sins!

November 15, 2025 - I have the entire song planned out & the vocals finished. The percussion track is about 2/3 completed.

November 24, 2025I have the percussion & bass tracks recorded! Took a ton of patience & hard work. The song tempo is 123 & I also added a splash of swing. The tune is approximately 4 min 40 sec long, which is perfect! The middle solo section is very cool. The song is probably in the Industrial, Goth, Dark Theatre genre. I used a 'Fieldy' effect for the bass which worked perfectly. Normally I would record the guitar & scratch vocals next, but have decided that I will work on the keys instead. It is a very theatrical song. I have to create the proper ambiance. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

December 5, 2025 - I have created & recorded an absolutely perfect keyboard track!!! This track has totally changed my persecutive for this song. I am actually considering making it an instrumental & sharing the lyrics as a poem inside the album sleeve. I am also positive there will be another keyboard track so I can pan them to opposite sides for some epic depth & dimension. May even add a 3rd for extra effects, nuances, etc. MyYamaha PSR E463 keyboard ROCKS! Huge Thank You to my buddy Jeffrey Cook for the gift. It is amazing! Actually heading to the Space Coast side of Florida to hang out with Jeff & Renee this weekend. It's Renee's BD!!!  It's gonna be blast & a much needed get away.

*** I finally managed to record some live rain for Rainy Day Serenade while I was staying with Jeff & Renee. Took almost 2 1/2 months!

November 12, 2025 - Massive progress! I have the 2nd keyboard track completed & recorded!! I primarily used a Carillon & Grand Piano effects. I have decided this will be an instrumental song. The structure & composition are more than strong enough as it is & I still need to lay down a lead guitar track. I may do some simple background humming/chanting & just sing the catch line in the chorus sections "Now all raise, all hands divide.

*** (12-17-25) Dang! Caught myself a nasty little cold/flu. Has slowed down my progress a bit. Probably for the best. Gives my ears a chance to recover, while I work out the guitar track, which is actually going very well. I have done some solid research & have decided that a haunting Metal effect will be the perfect approach for this song. I am still on track to have it finished before the end of the year, if not sooner.

When the Trouble Begins

November 29, 2025 - Yah never know when inspiration will hit. I was watching some old episodes of the first season of The Twilight Zone from 1959 & I came up with a brand new song idea called When the Trouble Begins. The lyrics are almost entirely completed & I am positive the song will be in the Punk Rock genre. A similar approach to what I used for Bad Feeling. I have always been a fan of Social DistortionFlogging Molly, Ramones & Misfits. I am still hard at work with The Devil's Ballroom, but this song will be the next one that I work on.

December 17, 2025 - I have the lyrics completed for this song! Things are lining up perfectly for it to be my first new tune of 2026! Gonna start the year off with a BANG! I am also pulling together some chords & a progression. The song will be in the key of B Minor. Kind of a cross between Concrete Blonde & 16 Tons by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Can't have a song inspired by The Twilight Zone without a cool freaky groove.

Dirty Heart

September 9, 2025 - I am jumping way ahead with this song entry. I literally just began working on Son of a Gun. I was scrolling through some old lyrical ideas that I had written down well over 12 years ago & there it was. It jumped out at me right away & I can still remember myself singing the chorus section way back when. The cover image I created above is a bit ominous & dark, but the song will actually be more on the artsy side with a little 80's hair band influence in the chorus. This will be a terrific opportunity to do some experimenting & try something different. Unleash the artistic freak. If all goes well, I should be working on this tune around Halloween time.

(October 4, 2025) I just finished all the music for Son of a Gun.

October 5, 2025 - The unpredictable life of a songwriter. This song has been put on the back burner for a while. I came up with a love song idea today called Rainy Day Serenade.

Halloween 2025 - This song is on the back burner once again. I just came up with a new idea called The Devil's Ballroom.

November 29, 2025 - I just came up with another song called When the Trouble Begins, so this song has once again been pushed back even further. There is a good chance that I may have to scrap the idea.
